5. Take your scissors. If there is an extra section of the line after tying the knot, cut it out. But you may leave ⅛ th of the line just for being safe. 
6. Close the bail and start turning the handle on the reel. The line will wind around the spool as you go.
7. Imitate the process of bringing up a fish using the reel. Leave a foot of line hanging from the rod and stop. You can tape a small section of the front part too.
