The Power consumption of a ceiling fan is an important criterion to consider. It directly influences your monthly electricity bill charges. The power consumption is measured in Watts. The higher the wattage, the more electricity is consumed. Hence, purchase an energy-efficient ceiling fan. Some brands promise low power consumption up to 40 percent. 3. Fan Speed
Fan speed is measured in RPM (Rotations Per Minute). Ceiling fans rotate at different speeds. The speed of the fan directly contributes to the cooling efficiency. Based on the speed, ceiling fans are of two types: High-Speed Fans & Normal Speed Fans. High-speed fans run at 370-380 RPM whereas a normal speed fan runs at 330-340 RPM.
